delightful house is on two floors and has spacious accommodation for four. The
floors here too are in antique terracotta and the ceilings are open beamed. The
entrance hall opens into the double sitting room separated by a large arch, on
one side with an open fireplace set within a wall-to-wall bookcase and in the
other a television, stereo and DVD and a writing table. The dining room has lovely
views on to the garden. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas hob, oven, large
fridge with ice dispenser, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and wood oven with a unique
design of access both from the outside and from the kitchen.
floor is accessed both by the stairs inside the house and also by outside steps,
a feature that is often found in old Umbrian country houses. The First floor has
two bedrooms, one with a double bed and en-suite bath with Jacuzzi bath, the other
with twin/double bed and an en-suite bath with shower. Both these bedrooms walk
out on to a terrace with wonderful views over the valley, and, in the winter,
to the snow capped mountains beyond.
The garden is laid out on three terraces.
Immediately outside the dining room is a patio surrounded with fig and olive trees,
roses and agapanthus. Two steps lead down to a lawn and paved pergola, where you
can eat looking out over the hills and valley beyond, perfectly sheltered. On
a further terrace below is the pool with water which cascades in to it from the
open stone wall, also secluded from external sight.
